The Legal Ministry is comprised of both attorney and non-attorney members. Our attorneys have expertise in a variety of areas such as patent and trademark, corporate law, employment law, housing, criminal law, immigration, bankruptcies, divorces, child custody and consumer issues. Although the Legal Ministry does not provide legal representation, we will refer persons in need of represenation to licensed attorneys. The Legal Ministry continues to grow its services and offerings to meet the needs of the church and the community-at-large.

| OUR BEGINNINGS |
 |
In September 1999, originating from the dynamic vision of Bishop Alfred A. Owens, Jr., Senior Pastor, Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church (GMCHC), came the birth of a new kind of ministry, a Legal Ministry. This ministry would serve as a legal resource center for the church body, addressing the specific legal issues that impact the Church and the church community. This call to service promoted various members of the church community to volunteer their time and talents to model God's love and support the legal needs of our Church and the community-at-large.
Since January 2000, the Shepherds of the Pentateuch has existed to meet the legal needs, questions, and concerns of the Church. The Ministry has defined itself as a body of Christians from diverse legal backgrounds committed to providing instruction on a variety of legal disciplines. Known most for its seminars on issues such as Tax Law, Family Law, Estate Planning, Financial Management, and Corporate Law, and for its referral service, the Legal Ministry has achieved its goal.
